I'm Dr Debs Rose, a GP with over 28 years experience in the NHS, now working as a coach specialising in supporting doctors and other high achievers with their personal and professional wellbeing and development so they can live and work happier, whilst avoiding burnout.

My practice is inclusive, neuro-affirming and rooted in positive psychology.
I've always been dedicated to supporting doctors physical and psychological health and
I'm passionate about supporting ADHD/neurodivergent doctors as well, having personal experience of this.

I help people reconnect with themselves, find clarity on their personal and professional goals and take bold steps in their life and/or career towards the future they want.

I am UK based and mostly coach online.

What I do

I help people make deep, sustainable changes, so they can start to (or continue to) live and work how they want, this often involves balancing their work-life with their non-work life and prioritising time for themselves.

If you’re feeling stuck, struggling to change or simply want support through a big life/career change or to achieve a major goal, I can help.

With my support, you can look beneath the surface, find new perspectives and transform your life.

Who I work with

I often help people who are overworked, overwhelmed, at risk of, or recovering from burnout.

I support people who want to change but are struggling due to indecision, overthinking, over-giving, perfectionism, people pleasing or self doubt.

I've helped people pass exams, continue working in jobs they love without burning out (again) and choose what they really want in their career, have the confidence to ask for it and the self belief and skills to get it.

How I work

I individualise my coaching, but often work with themes of transition, stress, life/career aspirations, and balancing work/life/time for self.

Through deep listening and powerful coaching conversations, I can help you to develop new insights which will allow you to think, feel and act in new ways, overcoming obstacles and starting to thrive with renewed self-trust.

My aim is that by helping you to uncover new insights I can support you to make the changes you want in a sustainable way.

Things my coachees say about me and my coaching:

My coachees say I'm: "a great listener", "empathic", "very understanding", "skilled", "empowering", "inspiring" and "talented".

And they say that after being coached by me they feel: "excited", "hopeful", "positive", "seen, heard and understood", "in control" and "energised".

And some of the things they said they got from their coaching sessions with me are: "addressing self limiting beliefs", "manifest the best version of myself", "having a better work life balance", "greater ability to change my mindset" and "able to tune into a kinder inner monologue".

About me

IMG_6359_edited_edited.jpg

A few years ago, I was working as a salaried GP and loving many aspects of my job, but between the demands of the role, a busy family life and my dad being very ill, I was starting to burn out.

Noticing how I was shrinking my world in order to cope I took action and saw a coach. Over 6 sessions I re-evaluated my life and work, reconnected with my potential and rediscovered my ability to prioritise time for me which wasn't just watching netflix while washing up!

I also made a plan for expanding my portfolio of work and within 6 months of the end of my coaching I was appointed to a primary care cancer leadership role, which in time led to 2 additional roles in cancer leadership all of which I thoroughly enjoyed whilst also feeling re-energised in my GP role.

I was so impressed and transformed by my coaching experience that I also chose to train as a coach so I could help others who were also at risk of burn out.

Last year I chose to move away from the NHS as I needed more time to get my business off the ground. But I am still very much a dedicated NHS supporter at heart - and determined to do what I can to improve wellbeing in the workforce.

There are several ways I work with people now:
firstly, in 1 to 1 coaching - as a course of 6 sessions, secondly, as part of my new group programme for doctors at risk of burnout which I'm setting up because so much learning and growing is possible in a community, and thirdly, as a facilitator/speaker/or on a consultancy basis - more information about these later!

We can meet online, on the phone, or in person, if practical, so you can ask me anything you want to know about my coaching and decide whether I’m what you’re looking for.

My most popular coaching offer is a set of six    1 hour sessions, either weekly/fortnightly. A little more about me:

I am a certified advanced transformational coach supporting people with their career development,  personal wellbeing and neurodivergence/ADHD challenges.

My NHS work included 4 years in hospital jobs, 21 years as a GP and 6 years in primary care leadership roles. I have a wealth of experience of supporting people through tough times and helping them to make the changes they want to make. My experience as a coach has further honed my skills.

I have experience of leadership, mentorship, strategic thinking and facilitation. I have also been through multiple transitions during my career and have lived experience of burnout, difficulty balancing work/life/self, perfectionism, people pleasing, executive function challenges and a late diagnosis of neurodivergence. I bring all my learning from these and more to my coaching. I particularly like to work with my clients inner critics and deeply held beliefs which can prevent them from achieving their goals.
